Ad Breaks
Overview
Backstage allows users to schedule advertising breaks into VOD content at any point in the asset.
Creating an Ad Break
To create a new ad break, navigate to the piece of media that need advertisements scheduled. Once there navigate to the "Ad Breaks" section below the content preview player

Any number of ad breaks and slots for those breaks can be added to an asset. To do so, enter in the time that the ads should be inserted using the following format: number of seconds into the asset
Next, enter the amount of Ad slots that will be requested during the break. The length of the break is dependent on how long each slot is, and how many slots are added to the break. For example, if your ad slots are 30 seconds, a Pre-Roll playing at 30 seconds, with 2 Slots, would play 1 minute of advertisements 30 seconds into the asset.
The table below breaks down how long an ad break will be based on Ad Slots requested:

NOTE: Backstage currently has a maximum limit of
4Ad slots in total. Any requested number exceeding4slots will automatically be capped at4. For instance, if you request6Ad slots to appear 45 seconds into the asset, the system will only display4Ad slots with a combined duration of 2 minutes.

AI-Assisted Ad Breaks
This upcoming feature will automatically insert ad breaks into the asset. Currently, it is not available for use.
